AIIMS established by an act of parliament, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is one of the most prestigious institutions in India. The institute aims at providing high standard of medical education and is an institution of national importance. All India Institute for Medical Science Exam is held for the admission of students to the MBBS course offered by the institution. The students have to secure very high marks in the Entrance Test in order to get admission in this institute.
Number of Seats:
Total no. of seats is 77 in MBBS (General -37, SC-11, ST-5, OBC-19, Foreign National -5). For Indian Nationals, 3% reservation for orthopaedic physically handicapped shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the seats available.
Qualification and Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS:
Reservation will be made as per following details in 15% All India quota:
- Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 systems or an equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December of the year of admission and above.
AIIMS Notification:
Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission to MBBS Course commencing on Month of August. Entrance Examination will be held on Month of June. Application forms, complete in all respects, must reach AIIMS, New Delhi latest by Mid of March.
Exam Centre:
Entrance Exam will be in Ahmedabad, Bangaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Raipur.
